I am often asked for custom sized boxes, which I cannot supply because I do not make these boxes.
However I have recently been
offered custom
milled aluminium enclosures, This is a
trial run so I cannot estimate the prices
The parameters required will be the inside dimensions ( pcb size in metric
) Because the milled area will
need to have radiused corners, the milled space will be larger than the PCB
which we expect will be
mounted on pillars or screws to the bottom of the enclosure. The other parameter
required is the number
of lid bolts. Four is possible but not recommended for microwaves as the
lid will tend to bow and probably
leak. Six or more is better but will require thicker walls.

Recent queries about internal dimensions for sizing the pcbs suggest that you should subtract about 2mm from the quoted external dimensions
Please note I do not make these boxes they are imported from Germany to the UK and a custom box size requires a minimum order quantity of 20 units, so this is generally not economical, unless you are marketing a project.

Other sizes can be ordered to suit your requirements, please ask. Please note it is easy to make boxes of a different, shorter, length from these by pruning the long side wall. You are of course left with a "too long" lid but at least you have only one flange to fold to alter that, after cutting the lid down. If fact, reforming the lid flange is not actually necessary and the cropped lid can be secured with a couple of dabs of solder.....not as pretty though....I am sure our German friends would not approve !

These consist of a plastic "Hood" and "L" shaped base-plate

Filter boxes (Popular for G4DDK wideband pre-amps)
Filter boxes (Tin-plate). These come in two
sizes, they have the same width and height (20mm square) but are
available 37mm and 55mm lengths. They are pre-punched at both ends to take BNC connectors (with the
alignment "flat") and can be supplied as a kit with
either grounded or isolated BNC sockets (ask)
They are ideal for isolating transformers and small in-line
filters or attenuators, or even couplers !! These are
suggested for use with the wideband amp pcb kits that Sam G4DDK sells.
Schubert has increased his prices for these.
